On Saturday, August 30, 2025, approximately seventy parishioners from across the Diocese gathered at St Michael’s Parish Centre and Church in Berwick for an engaging and informative workshop titled “Principles & Practice of Good Parish Liturgy: Preparation & Engagement.”
The workshop was designed for those involved in liturgical ministries, including music ministers, sacristans, welcomers, readers, commentators, and extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist.
The morning session was led by Fr Brian Nichols, Vice-Rector of Corpus Christi Seminary and lecturer in Liturgy and Sacramental Theology at Catholic Theological College, Melbourne. Drawing from Church documents, Fr Nichols outlined the key principles of liturgical practice and connected them to the various roles involved in preparing and serving the celebration of the Eucharist.
