The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want (Psalm 23)

The fourth Sunday of Easter invites us to turn our minds and hearts to image of Jesus as the Good Shepherd. The Psalm of the day is familiar to many of us - The Lord is my shepherd. It speaks to hearts longing for peace and safety, for kindness and renewal, for the ongoing presence of a loving God. It encourages us to be alive to the joy of life, in the sure knowledge that goodness and mercy abound. We are called to dwell in the House of the Lord, with Jesus our sure companion.

On this Good Shepherd Sunday may weary hearts be restored to peace and may all who seek the Lord be filled with Easter joy. Alleluia!
