The celebration of the Jubilee of Migrants held at Sacred Heart church, Morwell on 5 October has been hailed as an outstanding success. Jointly organised by Morwell Catholic parish and Lumen Christi parish, Churchill, the event was one of the many Jubilee events conducted by parishes within the Diocese of Sale during this Jubilee Year of the Church.

On Saturday 4 October 2025, the community of St Patrick’s, Pakenham, gathered for a joy-filled Jubilee of Marian Spirituality. Themed “Blessed Virgin Mary - Queen of all Creation,” the celebration brought together over 300 people for a day of devout prayer and fellowship. The event beautifully showcased the parish's vibrant faith through a solemn Rosary Procession, Mass, and a shared community meal.

People gathered, many wearing a splash of yellow. On a rack in the foyer bright yellow rain jackets and yellow scarves hung; people could take one and join in the festive atmosphere. Yellow is the colour of ‘Luce”, the official mascot of Jubilee 2025. Also, yellow is a high visibility colour, focussing our attention away from darkness to happiness, sunshine and warmth. And this summed up the impact of the Jubilee of Consolation.
